Robocash Review (2024): 12.65% return after 2 years

After over two years of investing on the Robocash platform and experiencing economic ups and downs, it’s time for a review of the Robocash platform.

Before we dive into my analysis of experiences, please remember that I am not an investment advisor. I present my opinion here only as an investor.

What is Robocash?

It is a P2P investment platform that offers investments in short-term loans. It is characterized by loan automation (as company name shows) and simplicity of use. The company belongs to the UnaFinancial capital group.

UnaFinancial?

This is a capital group that brings together all entities offering loans financed by the Robocash platform. Founded in 2015, it currently has USD 1 billion in loans provided to 12 million customers worldwide.

How does Robocash work?

Similar to other P2P investment platforms, Robocash acts as a connector between the investor and the companies offering loans.

The investment process is completely automated. You cannot select loans manually, only through auto investing. You can see a simplified workflow below.

How much can you earn?

The profit from the platform is strongly related to the length of the loan in which we want to invest.

My personal profit I described in the experience paragraph. The interest rate on the platform varies from 8% to 13%. In addition, Robocash offers a 30-day loan repurchase guarantee in the event of problems with repayment by the borrower and a capital group guarantee. More info about it below.

Is Robocash safe? Let’s talk about risk

If we want to enter the P2P lending market, this is one of the most important questions, but starts from the beginning.

In case the borrower cannot repay his loan, Robocash group gives a full redemption guarantee. This guarantee also covers interest.

However, the buyout works only when the lending company is in a good financial situation. Audits performed by the external company FBK Grant Thornton (an audit company with a good reputation) showed that:

• In 2020, the company had approximately $24 million in profit
• In 2021, the company had approximately $29 million in profit
• In 2022, the company transformed into the UnaFinancial group and generated approximately $13.1 million in profit (writing off one of the Russian lending companies)

Numbers above confirms that the company has a promising business model and adds more confidence to invest on the platform.

Another good test is to verify platform versus market or economic crises. From my observations, I can say that the pandemic and the war in Ukraine did not cause any problems with loan repayments. It is worth to add that the Robocash offered loans on the Russian market.

On TrustPilot, Robocash boasts a rating of 4.6/5 (Excellent).

Although all signals are positive, it is worth keeping in mind that Robocash, is not regulated by any license to offer financial services (similar to other p2p platforms). It is a company governed by Croatian law.

Robocash launched a secondary market in April 2021, which allows you to resell your investments and leave the platform within a few days. On its website, Robocash states that loans are usually sold within 1 week. Resale takes place without additional fees.

How to deposit money?

Once you have set up a Robocash* account, you can easily deposit money using a bank transfer. You can find IBAN account with your individual user number in the Robocash platform.

How long will you wait for the transfer? Usually 1-2 days.

How much is it cost? If you make a transfer from Revolut*, you pay nothing.

Important: You can deposit no more than EUR 25,000 per month on the platform as an individual and EUR 15,000 as a company.

How to withdraw funds?

The withdrawal form is available on the platform. Important note, you can only withdraw to the accounts from which you deposited funds.

How long will you wait for the transfer? Usually 1-2 days.

• Loan amounts from EUR 1 to EUR 200
• Plus full reinvestment of monthly profits

Summary: Why invest in Robocash?

2. Practically no delays in monthly repayments.

What don’t I like?

1. Lack of diversification between countries and companies (as in Mintos)
2. No regulation
3. Founder’s connections with Russia
