Portfolio update – February 2024

How to achieve financial freedom? Through systematic investing. It’s easy to say, but more difficult to maintain consistency. This journal entry is for my future self, to record the entire – long journey, successes, and mistakes I’ve made, rather than just the final result. I hope it will motivate you to build your financial independence.

Summary

A stable month, no major turbulence, additional growth caused by a large jump in ETFs. I’ve noticed a large supply of money on the platforms by lower interest rates on new loans. Which will certainly have a significant impact on returns in the coming months.

I still plan to expand my portfolio by one more item. I’m testing several items, but I’m still waiting for the choice.

But for now, please check out the update:

Bitfinex Lending*

My mechanism is not doing well, unfortunately lending offers have reached levels where it is not profitable to enter new positions (below 8%). This is surprising because Bitcoin is currently breaking records.

It is possible that Bitfinex has introduced further changes limiting the amount of loans, or there is so much money on the market that it easily covers even strong demand spikes.

Graph of all loans last month:

  • Value: $11 648,45
  • Profit (last month): $85,66
  • ROI (last month): 8,83%
  • ROI: 7,11%
  • Investment from: 2020.12

Mintos (Euro €)*

Another good month with a decline in outstanding loans. Unfortunately, loan interest rates have also dropped, resulting in a lower return than a month ago.

Unfortunately, considering the decline in interest rates and the inflow of new money, there is no hope for greater returns. I rather expect that by mid-year I will be forced to reduce my expectations for new loans below 10% return.

I noticed that in my Mintos results I do not include withholding tax, which Mintos deducts from profits. This month it was over €6. Starting this month, I’m adding this tax to my profit to be able to compare platforms accordingly.

PS. The difference between the screenshot and the result is due to the fact that the screenshot was taken the day before the end of the month 😉

If you want to start your adventure with Mintos platform, please check out my review: Mintos Review (2024): 14.89% return after 3+ years

  • Value: €13 715,11
  • Profit (last month): €129,81
  • ROI (last month): 11,35%
  • ROI: 14,59%
  • Amount late in repayment: €921,41 (change: -€542,54)
  • Investment from: 2020.12

Mintos (Rubel rosyjski ₽)*

Position in withdrawal progress. Currently, there is the last company left to repay – Kviku.

Nothing new, but I would like to remind you that Mintos announced next steps in the confrontation with Kviku and plans to sell its debt to an external company. What the return is currently unknown.

  • Value: 272 675,21 ₽
  • Profit (last month): 0,00 ₽
  • ROI (last month): 0,00%
  • ROI: 3,05%
  • Amount late in repayment: 272 675,21 ₽

Robocash*

The stability of the platform makes good advertising on the market, just as in Mintos, the money supply on the platform resulted in lower loans. However, it is still possible to maintain ROI above 10%. Going below this threshold is only a matter of time.

By the way, Robocash introduces a new type of statistics on the platform, you can review invested loans and delays.

If you don’t know how to start your adventure with Robocash. Feel free to check review and detailed description of my strategy: Robocash Review (2024): 12.65% return after 2 years

  • Value: €11 333,61
  • Profit (last month): €90,99
  • ROI (last month): 9,63%
  • ROI: 10,46%
  • Amount late in repayment: €685,25 (change: +€574,63)
  • Investment from: 2021.08

Esketit*

A new item in the top-up process, after a very nice last month there was a significant drop. However, nothing serious, it is caused by a deposit worth the entire portfolio. This could not have had an impact on the return.

  • Value: €4 036,44
  • Profit (last month): €12,42
  • ROI (last month): 4,91%
  • ROI: 9,28%
  • Amount late in repayment: €645,14 (change: +€10,00)
  • Investment from: 2023.12

ETF

Another month of growth, there has been a big rally for over half a year. I don’t want to guess how it might end. I wonder if it will end earlier than before the US elections 😉

  • Value: $3 238,56
  • Change (last month): +$140,92**
  • Change (from begining): +$685,82**
  • Investment from: 2022.08
